Another slightly hazy morning in Foxford, it looks like this will burn off pretty soon. The forecast is for some hot sunny weather over the weekend. Not ideal for Salmon fishing, lots of fish in the river and there is always a chance, the sun however will make it difficult. The good weather over the weekend will give us a chance to catch up on grass cutting and other jobs that have been neglected due to salmon fever. For those who would prefer fishing to grass cutting early morning and late evening will be the best times. For today the river is at 0.37m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. The water has cleared out well and prawn should work on the fisheries downstream of Foxford. Further upstream Fly, Bubble and fly or small spinners will be the best methods.
