A bright morning. 7 am Looking upstream at Foxford

A bright morning in Foxford and I have a feeling its just a glimpse of the day ahead. The river is at 0.33m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. The best chance of a fish today will be in some of the deeper and more shaded areas using bait, Prawn or worm. For fly fishing, the later part of the day up to dark will be the best time. Although the weather is not in favour of Salmon angling fresh fish are still running and are more likely to snap at a bait that a resident fish, there is hope. A good alternative would be to try for a sea trout off one of the beaches or One could cut the grass and gain the all important Brownie points for when the weather changes. The shop is open all day today and from 8am to Noon tomorrow Sunday and Monday.
