Grey and damp in Foxford this morning, not enough rainfall to raise water levels but enough to make it miserable. I was fishing last night and it’s the first night in a long time that I was happy to head home. The air was cold and the water felt warm and one knew it wasn’t going to happen. Anyway, it was still after midnight when I got home and facing a morning like this, there is not a coffee strong enough. In the end the rain will add up and we will have better water conditions. Anglers on the Moy are all reporting seeing good numbers of fish moving but no great take. There is some heavier rain forecast for later today which (if we get it) should help. As the wind freshens later the bubble and fly will be a good method to try but for now Prawn will be the best method.
