A dull cloudy morning with a fresh breeze in Foxford. It looks like we will have some more rain throughout the day. Perhaps not enough rain to raise levels but in the end it will all help. We had several very frustrated anglers in the shop yesterday, they are seeing lots of salmon showing and can not get them to take. We also had a few happy anglers in the shop who caught fish including one of the younger local lads who done the right thing and was rewarded with his first salmon of the season, well done Alan. It would not be correct for me to mention here what the right thing was 😁. We have spring tides at the moment and will see an increase on fish numbers entering the system. They still have free passage through Ballina where angling is closed. For anyone interested in trout angling, evening fishing (up to midnight) is good at the moment.
