Friday 18/07/2025

A misty morning with a nice breeze in Foxford. The river is high but has started to fall, now at 1.68m at Ballylahan bridge it will be coloured. It is a day for a slow start, the situation should improve as the day goes on and worm will be the best method. There is no major rain forecast which will make for better conditions for the remainder of the weekend and I would expect some good fishing over the next couple of days. Reports for the past few days have been that there were lots of fish throughout the system but a poor take. I would hope that the fresh water will move fish and liven things up.
