A dark misty morning in Foxford. It looks like it will rain but the forecast says different, perhaps a few showers. The river is getting very low, 0.21m at Ballylahan bridge and a lot of rocks visible in Foxford. Its difficult to say what sort of numbers of fish are running, most of the fish we are seeing around Foxford at the moment are small Grilse. Hearing reports of some larger Grilse been caught around Ballina which could indicate that the larger fish are waiting for water to run. There are lots of fish throughout the system and when condition suit they are taking. Temperatures have dropped considerably which will help angling and looking towards the weekend we should get some rain. For today, it will be low water tactics.
