A beautiful rainbow over Foxford. The first thing I spotted as i walked out the door this morning.

A bright morning in Foxford, judging by the rainbow we might just get the occasional shower. The river is at 0.45m at Ballylahan bridge and suitable for all methods. Not many anglers on the river in the past two days but reports are positive. One local angler had a 10lb and a 13 lb fish on Monday and said he saw loads of fish moving. We are seeing the occasional Grillse splashing about in Foxford. There’s a few fish been taken on the fisheries downstream of Foxford on prawns. Further upstream (East Mayo anglers) could probably do with a drop of fresh water but will still be OK for Fly and bubble and fly. Its still pretty cold and this seems to be having an effect on trout fishing on the Loughs, things are running late. I have a feeling that Lough Conn will fish well in the coming days.
