Jimmy with his first of the season. a beautiful 12.25 lb fish from the Rinnanney fishery

A wet and windy morning in Foxford. The river is now at 0.41m at Ballylahan bridge. If this rain continues we will see levels rising tonight. I would not get excited by a flood at this early stage of the season, there’s no big build up of fish waiting to come into the system. Lets see what happens for the rest of the day. We had a couple of nice fish brought into the shop yesterday and heard of a few more been taken. For anyone brave enough to face the elements this morning spinning will be well worth a try.
