A damp morning in Foxford. Yesterdays rain did not materialise but hopefully we will get some today. The river is now at 0.4m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. I spoke to three anglers yesterday evening who had each caught a fish on worms. Lots of fish throughout the system and the amazing thing is that a lot of these are fresh silver fish. For today spinning will still be worth a try but if the day stays dull and we have a little bit of wind the bubble and fly will work.

  1. Hi, thanks for the great updates each day. Where are the best spots to fish from the shore for mackerel, when things are quiet on the river?
