21/06/21 A little Mountain Brownie lives to fight another day

Another cool and bright start in Foxford. The forecast is for some light rain later, this should bring a bit of cloud cover at least. 0.23m at Ballylahan bridge the water is low. Fish are building up in the tidal water and speaking to a friend yesterday he tells me there’s a good build up of fish further out in the estuary. Its looking good for the next flood. At the moment its hard going on the upper parts of the river. Cloongee fishery will be ok when conditions suit the bubble and fly. The fisheries downstream of Foxford are still worth a try with prawn and even a worm.  P.J and I had a few hours in the mountains yesterday evening. It was cold but we managed to catch a few nice little brownies, something different.
