A sunny morning so far in Foxford, there are showers forecast. Yesterday it was looking good for fly fishing conditons today but there must have been some heavy showers in the hills. The river has crept up by almost 30cm over night and is now at 1.29m at Ballylahan bridge. It is peat stained in Foxford but still in good condition for spin or worm fishing. At this point its looking like it will be like this for the next few days. The forecast is for some persistent rain tomorrow and this on top of what has already fallen will keep levels high. Its no harm in the long run and will give fish a great opportunity to run. Short term it is difficult for fly fishing.
