A windy morning in Foxford, the rain has eased to showers. The river is rising at the moment, now at 0.7m at Ballylahan bridge it will creep up for a good part of the day. It is already starting to colour in Foxford but some of this dirt is possibly lake sand coming from Lough Cullin. Worm and spin will be the best methods today. The forecast is for showers today and perhaps some heavier rain in the evening so it looks like we will have good water levels for the weekend. I will update this later in the evening.

19.00:  The river peaked at 0.8m at Ballylahan bridge,an ideal level. We had reports of a good number of fish taken throughout the day, the largest we weighed was 12lbs. A few anglers reported seeing numbers of Grilse moving. We have not had much rain today although the forecast is for some heavy rain tonight.  The river should be in good order in the morning
