The Big Rock after a few days of showers the gravel is now covered, still low water though.

A dry morning so far in Foxford, it does look like we will have more showers. The river is slowly creeping up. It is now at 0.53m at Ballylahan bridge and my guess is it will be at 0.6m by this afternoon. Compare the pictures of the Big Rock and you will see that the gravel is now covered. Its an improving situation but I would still find it hard to tell people to travel to fish. For anyone in the area or with time on their hands (or money to buy Diesel) its a different matter and there is a reasonable chance of success. The river is still suitable for all methods and at the current level East Mayo Anglers waters are well worth trying with the fly.
