Low cloud on Braid hill. A misty morning in Foxford 21/08/2021

A dull misty start to the day in Foxford, still some heavier showers hanging around as well. The river has come up overnight and is now at 1.3m at Ballylahan bridge. It will peak later at about 1.5m but may start to rise again later this evening. At Foxford it is not very coloured and is suitable for worm or spinning. For today some of the fisheries on the lower part of the river will be best and the Canal section of  Ballina Salmon Anglers waters will be well worth a try with a spinner. The River Easkey is an other alternative that could be worth a try. I will update here this evening.

Update @ 19.20  It turned out to be a nice day in Foxford. The river is dropping and clearing. It should be in very nice condition by morning
