A breezy and overcast start to the day. The river has crept up a little overnight and is at 0.31m at Ballylahan bridge  (still very low). The ground which was very dry has got a wetting over the past couple of days so the rain from now on should have more of an effect on the level of the river. Some heavier rain forecast for this afternoon but as always it may or may not happen, lets wait and see.

21.00 : The rain is now easing of. It has been reasonably persistent from about 14.00. We are measuring somewhere between 15 and 20mm (not exact) . This should be enough to give a decent rise by morning. The rise will not peak until mid afternoon. Fishing should be good in the coming days.
