A slightly cloudier morning in Foxford but not ideal fishing conditions. The river is getting low, 0.27m at Ballylahan bridge. It has been a tough weekend for fishing, not just on the river the Loughs are also proving tough. I’m not sure what is needed to change this but a weather change and some fresh water would certainly help. There’s fresh Grilse arriving daily and there was a few splashing about in Foxford this morning. Once there’s fresh fish arriving its always possible to catch one, its a matter of perseverance. Early morning and late evening are the best times at the moment. We will be closing the shop at Noon today.
