Not a bad morning in Foxford, a little cloudy but no rain. The river is coming into better order, 0.75m at Ballylahan bridge and clearing out nicely in Foxford. There are very few anglers on the water so its difficult to say whether fishing is good or bad. Providing we don’t get any more heavy rain (Nothing major forecast) and there’s a few anglers out over the weekend we should get an idea of whats happening. I have spent the last two evenings on a small local Lough where normally trout rise freely and it has been quiet, a strange season. For today, anglers fishing upstream or closer to Ballina should have a good chance of success with Bubble and fly, around Foxford the Prawn could work, although the flow is still fast.

Still breezy but the rain seems to have stopped, for at while at least. The river has peaked and started to drop, now at 1.88m
