A damp and breezy morning in Foxford and surprise surprise, the river is rising. Now at 1.7m at Ballylahan bridge it will continue to rise for the rest of the day. Another difficult few days ahead for salmon angling but I would expect that by Thursday/Friday things should be settling down. Today would be a good day to consider shopping or some other brownie point gathering exercise.
