A little bit hazy around Foxford this morning, it is forecast to brighten up a little later today but it may not be as sunny as the past couple of days. The river is now at 0.27m at Ballylahan bridge and falling. At this level, the fisheries up stream of the Joinings will be difficult during brighter periods. It may be better to try some of the deeper stretches downstream and use Prawn or worm. There seems to be reasonable numbers of Grilse around Foxford at the moment,  I had a look at the Cathederal beat on Sunday afternoon and would say there was a good head of fish there as well. The next flood will push a lot of these fish upstream and its one to watch out for.
