A little bit of sun peaking through the clouds in Foxford this morning, it looks like the weather is settling a little. The river crept up yesterday evening and is now at 1.42m at Ballylahan bridge. This was caused by some of the thunder showers we had during the day yesterday. It should continue to drop today and the forecast is pretty good for the coming days so hopefully we will see it coming back into better fishing order. Levels will stay high for a long time now, the loughs are well up. We are just looking for settled conditions, clearing and dropping. For anyone heading out today spin and worm will be the best methods and judging by reports from downstream, spinning is working better than worm.
