A dark and showery morning in Foxford. We had some rain yesterday and the river is up a little, now at 0.84m at Ballylahan bridge. It will continue to creep up for another while. Obviously we did not need this extra water as conditions were just starting to come right. We were starting to get reports of fish been caught so hopefully once things settle down again there will be a bit of decent fishing for the end of the season. For today it will be spin and worm and the lower parts of the river will be the best areas to try.
