Although the very heavy rain experienced in parts of the country on Friday missed us the river did creep up a little yesterday. It peaked at just under 0.7m at Ballylahan bridge. This morning it is at 0.55m and in very nice condition for spinning around Foxford, fly will work in the upper parts. The forecast is for some more rain today and tonight, heavy in places. Good numbers of fish throughout the system and by all accounts good numbers in the tidal waters waiting to run. If we do get the rain and a proper flood fishing in the coming week will be good.
