Safe to say we will have a flood. The river is rising fast at the moment and is already over 1m at Ballylahan bridge. It will continue to rise for most of the day today. This is the first decent flood we have had all summer so it will most likely be a dirty one. It is still fishable in Foxford and will be fishable downstream for the next few hours but by afternoon the dirt will be all the way down. We would hope that as the fresh water hits the estuary fish waiting to run will do so. High tide tonight is at 22.30 so by tomorrow morning these fish should be throughout the system. I will update this later today when we have an idea of whats happening.
