Overcast with a light breeze in Foxford this morning. Looking at the forecasts we may avoid a lot of the sunshine, it will be warm but we seem to have good cloud cover. The river is now at 0.38m at Ballylahan bridge and holding a nice level through Foxford. Overall I would say the fish are not playing ball and catches are low. This is not just the Salmon, the trout on the Loughs are also keeping their mouths closed. Just one of the hidden factors that we have not yet figured out. It is beautiful weather to be outside and enjoying our river banks. For today Prawn and bubble and fly will be the best methods and the best time will be in the late evening, up to dark.
