A hazy morning in Foxford with a low mist over the hills. Yesterday was a disappointing day on the river. Lots of fish about and lots of anglers but a very poor catch. It is most likely to do with the Thundery air, it was a very humid day. Starting of today does not feel a lot better but the forecast is for some rain later which might clear the air. The river is at 0.47m at Ballylahan bridge and is in good condition for all methods. If we get some wind with the rain the bubble and fly will work well. For anyone heading downstream prawn will be the best method. We had our first Pink salmon in the shop yesterday, im told it fought well and should taste just fine, a happy angler. We will be closing the shop at Noon today and tomorrow Monday.

Another dull start to the day in Foxford, sun will not be a problem. The river is coming back into nice condition, now at 0.86m
