Sunday 09/09/2018

The river has crept up a few inches overnight (now at 0.42m at Ballylahan bridge) and will most likely rise by a few more inches as the day goes on. This will improve fishing in the next few days. Anyone spinning today will be in with a good chance of success.

Saturday 08/09/2018

A few showers promised this morning but these should clear as the day goes on. very few anglers on the river yesterday. The best report was of one angler hooking 3 salmon on prawn downstream of Foxford. Conditions are good for bubble and fly and prawn.

The river is at 0.32m at Ballylahan bridge and is in good condition for all methods. Fish were taken on prawn and bubble and fly yesterday. A cool morning in Foxford. The river is at 0.36m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. Fly, Bubble and fly and prawn will be the best methods. Still very little angling activity but as schools re open we would expect to see more anglers on the river bank.

The river is back down to 0.4m at Ballylahan bridge. Over the past few days fish have been taken on all methods but the prawn has been most effective. Bubble and fly will be well worth a try in the next few days.
