A picture for Jim, P.J with a nice sea trout taken on a sandeel.

Looking like another good day in Foxford. Yesterday turned out bright and as feared not the best fishing day. A few reported catches in the early part of the day but by 11am the sun was shining. it did cloud over in the afternoon so anglers may have had more success then. P.J and I headed to a beach for some sea trout fishing. We were late getting there but we did manage to catch a few very nice trout. Something different and well worth a try when salmon conditions are not good. For today it will be a case of early morning and whenever there’s some cloud cover. The late evening could very well be the best part of the day for fishing. The river is at 0.3m at Ballylahan bridge, bubble and fly and Prawn will both work and there’s a reasonable amount of Grilse showing up.

A beach in Co. Mayo but it could be anywhere in the world, Beautiful.
