A Sealiced 8lb Salmon taken on the Fly lives to fight another day, 08/05/2022 .

A dark cloudy morning with a fresh breeze, looks like a wet day ahead in Foxford. The river is 0.46m at Ballylahan bridge and suitable for all methods. Reasonable reports of fish yesterday with a few anglers reporting seeing some very large salmon moving. Today should be a good day for spinning and the bubble and fly will be well worth a try on Cloongee or East Mayo fisheries. Not really sure how much rain we will get but it wont do any harm and will keep fish moving.
