Following on from a windy and somewhat wet day yesterday we still have cloud lingering over Foxford this morning. We will probably have some showers during the day. Even though yesterday was wet and miserable it has not had much effect on water levels. The river is now at 0.3m at Ballylahan bridge, it will continue to creep for another while but I would be surprised if it passes 0.5m on the Ballylahan gauge. There will be some colour in the water which will change things a little, the bubble and fly may not be as effective as it has been over the past few weeks. This little hint of fresh water should move some fish upstream and anyone spinning on East Mayo Anglers waters or upper Cloongee today will be in with a good chance of a fish.
