A little bit of blue sky back over Foxford this morning, we could still have some showers though. Yesterdays rain did not amount to much in the end, the morning was wet but by lunchtime it was over. The river has risen a little and is now at 0.7m at Ballylahan bridge, no major colour in Foxford but a peat stain is visible. It will be a good day for spinning and worming, again brighter colours, pink or yellow flying C will work. There is some more rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning which we should keep an eye on. In reality we don’t need too much rain as levels are good for fish to run and reports from down river are that pods of Grilse are now entering the river on every tide.
