A dry morning with a fresh breeze and a little bit of blue sky over Foxford. What a difference a day makes and what a difference a heavy shower can make. The river is now at 1.4m at Ballylahan bridge. This sudden rise was caused by a prolonged heavy shower yesterday afternoon. It will run off quickly and i’d imagine will be falling well by lunch time, it will however be coloured. We did not need this additional water and would have been better off if we did not get it. Today will be a day for worm fishing and by evening spinning should be ok.
