A hazy morning in Foxford, it looks like we will have some drizzle. The river crept up to around 0.8m at Ballylahan bridge yesterday. Nothing major but enough to put some colour in the water and slow fishing down, also enough to top levels up and keep fish moving so in the long run it will be good. It is now falling and at 0.63m at Ballylahan. Today will be the first day since we got water that the river will be suitable for fly fishing and there should be fish throughout all the pools on East Mayo Anglers waters. A size 12 Orange and Gold Shrimp or a Bann special should do the trick. Spinning will also work while further down stream of Foxford the Prawn will start to fish.
