Dry so far this morning in Foxford, there is a blanket of cloud that looks like it could drop a heavy shower at any moment. The river was rising for the first half of the day yesterday, peaking at 0.9m at Ballylahan bridge. By lunchtime it had become very coloured and was only suitable for worming. We did get reports from along the river of fish moving. Levels are now dropping and it is at 0.65m at Ballylahan bridge. In the Foxford area and further downstream the water will most likely be stained and for the first half of the day at least spin and worm will be the best methods. Further upstream it should be in good order for fly fishing.
