A dry morning so far in Foxford. Yesterday evening turned damp and we had some heavy showers for a few hours. Not enough to cause major upset to water levels but the river is creeping up a little now. It is currently at 0.64m at Ballylahan bridge and will probably rise for another few hours. Its no harm really and in the long term it will help. I would expect to start seeing more Grilse in the river soon and fresh water always encourages them to leave the estuary. For today, the water will most likely colour up so worm and spin will be the best methods.
