A duller start to the day in Foxford, the forecast is for some rain later this morning. I don’t think it will be a large amount but it should help. The river is now at 0.24m at Ballylahan bridge. There’s still a few fish slipping up into the upper parts of the river and I got a report from a friend who managed to catch two fresh fish on the fly yesterday. Around Foxford and on the Cloongee fishery there’s a few been taken on bubble and fly while further downstream the Prawn seems to be working well. Getting good reports from the tidal beats in Ballina where both the Ridge and Cathedral pools are well stuffed and producing fish. We do need a proper flood for some really good fishing.
