A cloudy morning in Foxford and it looks like we will have some more rain today. The river started rising in the middle of the day yesterday peaking at 1.2m at Ballylahan bridge. It is now falling again and is at 1.15m, coloured in Foxford. It is suitable for spin and worm but fly will be difficult. Prior to the rise yesterday there were fish reported and one angler on the Esst Mayo fishery caught and released a 13lb fish on the fly.  Its difficult to say what will happen with levels today, if we have more rain it will rise again which we could live without. Lets see what happens throughout the day. The forecast is for less rain for the remainder of the week.
