Thursday 04/07/2024

A showery morning with a brisk breeze in Foxford, not exactly what one expects in July. The rain we are having is not enough to rise water levels and the river is getting low, especially upstream of Foxford. Good reports from Ballina and further down the estuary of a build up of salmon, something to look forward to when we do get a flood. For today it will be prawn, bubble and fly and small spinners.

Another misty and overcast morning in Foxford, no proper rain though. The river is at 0.25m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods.
