Sunday 19/04/2026

A bright morning with blue skies and some sunshine, it’s a welcome change from what we have become accustomed to0. The river took a little bump up during the day yesterday. I’m not sure where the water came from, it must have been a heavy downfall somewhere well up stream. It is dropping again and is now at 1.15m at Ballylahan bridge. The river is still big from Foxford downstream and the best area to try today would be upstream of Foxford. If this good weather continues for another few days it will bring the river into great condition. I’m predicting there will be some action by this day next week, all that’s need ed is some anglers on the banks.

The shop is open today from 8am to 12noon and will reopen at 8am on Tuesday morning.
