P.J with a mackerel 29/08/2021. An alternative to Salmon fishing during difficult periods.

A slightly duller morning in Foxford. The forecast is for some cloud cover today with a light NE breeze. It could be an ok fishing day, well at least for anyone in the area who can take advantage of whatever suitable periods there are. The river is now at 0.3m at Ballylahan bridge.  The peat stain from the last flood has now gone and It has cleared out well. Best methods today will be bubble and fly and prawn. We will be closing the shop at noon today.
