A mixed sky with a little bit of blue and some showery looking clouds over Foxford this morning, it will be a day of showers. The river peaked at just over 1m at Ballylahan bridge yesterday evening, it is now at 0.85m at Ballylahan and will be suitable for worm and spin. This fresh water will move some salmon upstream and I would expect to hear of fish taken in Cloongee and East Mayo Anglers waters today. Anyone willing to move and cover water with a yellow flying C up there today will be rewarded, The Gub, Howleys , Ryans, The Groins bellow the bridge, Pol Na Gunnai are all likely spots.  Over the next few days the forecast is unsettled and we will most likely have more rain which will keep levels topped up. This is all positive for the days ahead.
