A damp morning in Foxford. Some nice widespread rain, not sure it will last long enough to have a proper effect on water levels but lets see. At the moment the river is at 0.35m at Ballylahan bridge and this rain will only help. Over the past few days angling effort has been low, we are hearing of three to five salmon taken each day from the various fisheries. This will increase over the weekend as we see more anglers on the water. All methods should work today. If the rain continues ill update here this evening.

18.00  We had some heavy rain in the early part of the day. It stopped at about 2pm. The river is rising at the moment and will probably peak somewhere between 0.9 and 1.2m at Ballylahan by morning.
