Garrett Ruigrok with the first salmon from the Ridge pool.

A cloudy start to the day in Foxford, again today it looks like we could have a few showers.  The first salmon of the season on the Ridge pool was taken yesterday. A beautiful 12.5lbs fish, it was taken by Garrett Ruigrok on the fly. The river is at 0.34m at Balylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. There’s not much of a breeze at the moment but we may have a little more later which will help. All fisheries are worth a try and there appears to be fish well scattered throughout the system.
