A windy and damp morning in Foxford, it looks like the rain will ease later in the morning so not too bad of a day ahead. The river is now at 0.77m at Ballylahan bridge and is in good condition for spin and worm. There is a big flow through Foxford and it is still a little high for other methods like Prawn and fly. Finally we saw a few more anglers on the banks yesterday and yes they caught some fish. We had half a dozen anglers through the shop who had fish and the waterkeeper in Rinnanney (David) reported fish taken down there. Hopefully last nights rain will not have a negative impact on conditions and things will continue to improve. For today, it will be a rough start with the wind and rain, the wet gear will get a good test. Spinning will be the best method and as I said yesterday Low and slow is the way to go, I would almost let the current bring the spinner around without retrieving just keeping enough tension to make it work. You will loose a few baits but that keeps me in a job 🤣. The shop is open from 8am to Noon and Thierry has promised another delivery of specials.
