Happy to report that the trout are also taking again. Just shy of 5lbs it took a Daddy long legs.
In beautiful condition, Just over 5lbs, this one also fell to the Daddy

A dark, damp and breezy morning in Foxford, there’s a certain winter feel to the mornings recently. Looking at the forecasts I think it will change later in the day, the wind should ease at least. The river has crept up by a couple of centimeters, not surprising with the heavy showers we have been having. Now at 0.78m at Ballylahan bridge, overall it is in pretty good condition and the fish seem to have switched back on. P.j and I went trout fishing for a few hours yesterday and i’m happy to report that the trout have stopped sulking as well. It looks like we will have a few good weeks to end the season. For today, Spinning will be the best method. It is still a fraction to high and fast for Prawn.
