A nice morning in Foxford, not as bright as yesterday and slightly breezier but dry. Yesterday actually turned out to be one of the best days we had for the summer, not ideal for angling but it was nice. The river has dropped another bit and is now at 0.8m at Ballylahan bridge. For anyone waiting to try the fly, East Mayo Anglers will be worth a try. I would concentrate on the upper parts of the fishery, the lower end will most likely be backing up due to the flow coming out of the Loughs. If the sun doesn’t break out spinning should also work well today. We are into September now and the kids are settled back in school, we will see more anglers back on the river bank and subject to conditions we should also have some good fishing to end the season. The shop is open this morning from 8am to Noon and will reopen at 8am on Tuesday morning.
