Dry so far this morning in Foxford, it does look like we will have some showers. The river is now at 0.39m at Ballylahan bridge, getting low upstream. Through Foxford and further downstream the level is perfect. Up to now this season fish have been running straight through the system, either to the Loughs or further up the Moy itself. With levels falling fish will start to slow down and hold in pools all along the river. Up to now there has been nothing taken in the Ridge or Cathedral pools, I would expect this to change in the coming days and we should start to hear of fish taken there. The wind has thankfully changed to the west and hopefully will stay there for a while. For the past few weeks we have had a lot of North and North East wind which has been cold. This cold has certainly had an negative effect on trout angling on the Loughs, most of which have been very difficult.
