A bright start to the day in Foxford, we could have some rain later. The river has come up a little overnight, nothing major about 20cm or so. It is now at 0.61m at Ballylahan bridge and should remain suitable for all methods. A little rise like this could move a few more fish into the upper parts of the river, for the fly angler it could be worth exploring. There’s a bit of a mixed forecast for the remainder of the week, sunny spells, rain and wind. Pretty good fishing weather really but the strong winds are making things difficult on the Loughs.
