The mist has already burned off in Foxford, looking like a scorcher ahead. The river is at 0.25m at Ballylahan bridge which is low. The only real chance of a salmon at the moment is in the early morning and late evening. Late evening seems to be proving the best and while having a cast last night I saw two anglers hooking fish. Lots of fish about which is good for the future. Its looking like the hot weather is with us for the next while. This would be a good time to explore alternatives and there’s any amount of quiet beaches about which would be worth a try. I had a go at grass cutting yesterday, nearly passed out with the heat, cannot recommend it!.
