A dark morning with some heavy showers in Foxford. Following yesterdays rain the river is rising. It is now at 1m at Ballylahan bridge and should soon level off. This rise will have an negative effect on angling today, especially in the upper parts of the river. By Thursday I would expect things to be settling and we should have some good fishing. It’s all weather dependant but I won’t be too far wrong. For anyone heading out today, the best chance will be to go downstream. The canal section (Ballina Salmon Anglers waters)  just upstream of the weir in Ballina should fish well. A yellow flying C , silver Toby or a Vision OneTen will be worth trying. For anyone looking for a One Ten here’s a link  https://themoy.com/product/megabass-vision-oneten-fw-suspending/
