A calmer and slightly nicer morning in Foxford, still a bit of drizzle and the chance of a heavier shower but altogether a lot better than the past few days. The river is starting to level off now at 1.5m at Ballylahan bridge. For the past few days it has been up and down and all over the place which is never good. There is still a chance of more rain in the coming days but it doesn’t look too bad. Fishing should now start to improve and we will soon hear of salmon taken. The Cloongee fishery will be well worth a try today and anyone using heavy spinners will be in with a good chance. My money would go on a 20g Yellow and Gold Flying C.
